The Slytherin house was unusually quiet one morning. Joy got out of bed and realized all of her room mates were gone. When she looked at the time, she realized she was very late for class.
She threw on her clothes and ran for the door. Boy, this was going to be a story for people to talk about.
Joy always seemed to be messing something up, and it usually involved people making fun of her. She was different. She randomly dyed her hair and sometimes she talked too much and sometimes she was too quiet and reserved. She just couldn't win with people.
When she finally made it to transfiguration, she crept in the room and sat at her desk.
"Miss Peka, I believe you should start setting more alarms in the morning." Professor McGonagall said as she finished writing a sentence on the chalk board.
"Yes professor." Joy said trying not to blush. She pulled out her notebook and started scribbling down the notes.
There were a few snickers from around the room. Not really so obvious as to who they were, but obvious enough to be heard. Ash was sitting next to her in the classroom, it was a bit odd for her to be this late. Normally it was just a few minutes, but this time it had been nearly an hour.
The raven haired youth was quiet as he slid his scroll over for her to copy, it was nearly full anyways. He pulled out a new one from his bag and just went back to writing. Still unsure why he was in transfiguration when he could already change his shape, at least a little. That must have been it, subconsciously wanting to be able to shift fully. He watched McGonagall and smiled slightly as she talked about her subject. She always seemed cold, but you could just tell that she loved it.
Joy glanced over at him and silently thanked him before jotting down the notes. Ashton was one of the few people who actually liked being around her. He was quiet and didn't talk much at all, and she talked a lot so they kind of balanced. She tucked her blonde streak of hair behind her ear and finished copying the notes. She rolled up his parchment quietly and passed it back over to him.
